Re: [orca-list] SAPI voices in Orca - initial version, please test

Hello,
I'll try to sum this up so you don't need to go through a lot of emails.

- When running Windows apps on linux, you need to have wine installed.
- While running Windows apps on linux through wine these are not accessible with orca and there is no other way on how to access them. - When sighted person runs Windows apps through wine he / she is able to run the app and interact with it. - It is possible to script some kind of automation what takes care of installing the voices. - So if Ethanak says installing iwona is possible without sighted help he means he has written scripts to automate that process. Based on a popular demand or additional help from potential sighted developers it might be possible to support other sapi voices this way.

Greetings

Peter

In the text file it says acapela install are fully inaccessible

It is - but on Windows, not Wine.
