I have found that orca will read some of the dialogues but not the main browser pane and objects. For that, you need chromevox, which is a set of extensions that turn Chrome into a self-voicing application. There's no GNOME accessibility for the installation process, so, you have to install chromevox on, for instance, a Windows machine. When you launch Chrome on your GNU/Linux system, and sign into the google account you used in the Windows installation, your applications will be synchronized, and your GNU/Linux Chrom will start talking. This may take several minutes, the first time.
