Re: [orca-list] help fixing my logon manager and orca

Do not, I repeat, do not remove /var/lib/lightdm/.pulse to attempt to fix the problem. It ***BROKE*** my audio completely and only left me with a "dummy output" device!

Hi Bill,
Well, I really wanted to know which was the best to use. Now that I
know it's lightdm, I discovered the following command to choose it.
sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

I'm not sure if it worked on my system because orca has stopped
starting automagicly when I log in,.
More to learn I guess.

I had the same issue as well, but don't know how to reproduce or fix it
since I don't have an Ubuntu machine at the moment. Gdm works fine for
me though, ask Kyle for instructions for arch.

Hi folks,
A while back I goofed up my logon manager, so it doesn't speak when it
comes up.
I think I chose incorrectly when given the choice between gdm and
lightdm, but now I don't know how to get back the accessible login
manager.
Could someone please help me out?
Thanks!
