Re: [orca-list] PDF accessibity works

Hi all, if I were going to kick evince's tires when ready, do I nead to
compile master versions of Orca and Evince, or will this be backported to
the stable Evince version? I have no fear of compilation, but was just
curious. I to am really glad to hear of the grant and progress.

Thanks,

Guy

Hi Joanie,
Thanks for the update.
As it is I was thinking of a good reason that would compel me to switch to
latest Vinux version or 13.04 Ubuntu.
This seems to be a good reason because I guess Orca's latest version will
not be compilable on Ubuntu 12.04 by default.
Happy hacking.
Krishnakant.

The support on the Orca side is already done.

And is there a tentative schedule for when this pdf accessibility
will be available for testing?
Access via caret-navigation should be in 3.9.5. Not sure yet on the
access via structural navigation as that is a much bigger task. But
the poppler work seems to be nearly done. Then corresponding support
will need to be added to Evince.

Take care.
