Re: [orca-list] Running orca

Hi.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think you need to install python2-GObject.

Which distro?

Oh I use a LFS distro (Linux From Scratch). I want to do tests of gnome3 and
accessibility without any packaging issues.

Are you running orca 3.6.2 or orca 3.6.3?

3.6.3

Which version of speech-dispatcher?

http://devel.freebsoft.org/pub/projects/speechd/speech-dispatcher-0.7.1.tar.gz

Do you have python-atspi installed?

Yes, pyatspi2-2.6.0 against python2.7.

Also, can you try the following if possible:
1. Launch a terminal session.
2. type python.
3. In the python prompt type the following command:
import pyatspi

I get the same result as I mentioned: from gi.repository import Atspi

Thanks very much.

Regards,

What are the results?

Hi,

File "/usr/local/bin/orca", line 41, in <module> from orca import debug File

"/usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pyatspi/__init__.py", line 17, in <module> from gi.repository import Atspi ImportError: cannot import
name Atspi

   I don't understand where I can find Atspi. I run orca 3.6, I installed
   at-spi2-core-2.6.3 and at-spi2-atk-2.6.2.

An idea?

Thanks,

Regards,
