Re: [orca-list] Evolution or Thunderbird

If you're seeing recommendations of Evolution, you're reading old stuff, in deed. I'd say it hasn't been usable since Gnome 2.32 and the x-desktop version of orca. If you want a gui mail client, Thunderbird will serve you a lot better, these days, though it's a little short of perfect. Text clients, like Mutt and Alpine, are also options. I find that Alpine, Gnome Terminal, and Orca are a decent team; others prefer Mutt.

Cheers,

Dave

Dear members,
At first I have to admit that I never used an mail client and GNOME
together, but I am planning to do so in the next few days.
I found some evidence that Evolution works quite well with Orca and
that there are a bunch of problems with Thunderbird. On the other
hand I found some messages here in the list which indicate that it
is the other way round.
Is there anyone who could make this clear for me.
Thanks
