You might have better results with another distribution - Ubuntu differs from
others in important ways, e.g., Unity shell rather than Gnome shell.

Also, don't confuse Linux accessibility over-all with GUI accessibility. In
Linux, most tasks can be performed from the console/shell/command line (there
are some exceptions, of course), where accessibility is much less complicated
and also highly reliable. It's important to take that into account when making
general comments about the accessibility of Linux compared with that of other
operating systems.

I was a Linux user long before Gnome accessibility and Orca came on the scene
and expanded significantly the choice of applications that were accessible.
