Re: [orca-list] Accessible Twitter client with a GUI

Pidgin-microblog is good for tweeting, favoriting, getting replies, following your stream, and basic searching. I'm not sure it can handle direct messages. You can do '/help', in the conversation area, for the plugin's list of commands and options; it's like irc syntax. Have you considered using easychirp.com, in the browser, to work with your tweets? It's fully accessible, and feature-rich., but, you don't get streaming updates. I'm partial to the non-gui client called ttytter; it runs in the gnome terminal or text console.

Cheers,

Dave

I've recently started experimenting with Pidgin and Smuxi. Both are actually chat clients but they have
plugins that let you use them for twitter. Both are also quite accessible. So far, I've gotten as far as
basic tweeting and reading my time line. Stuff like retweting and replying to tweets, direct messaging and
the like are yet to be tried.
