Re: [orca-list] Update on Orca's branches and Python 3

Yes this python3 stuff has been making my head swim, just reading the messages here on the list. Good work,
none the less. Can you remind me what the branch name will be for the 3.6 stuff? I'm not quite ready to try
banging on that mixture of master and python 3 yet. We've had python 3 on Arch Linux for a long time but
it's the compatibility issues that I'm avoiding at the moment.

Hey guys.

It turns out that GNOME on the whole is not quite ready to be just
Python 3. Apparently, having some core GNOME modules be Python 3 based
whilst others remain Python 2 based is also not doable. As a result, I
have already branched Orca for GNOME 3.6. The official GNOME 3.5.x/3.6.x
releases of Orca will be based on Python 2. Master will continue to be
based on Python 3. And I will maintain both branches.

Hope this doesn't cause any confusion. But if it does, you know where to
find me. <smiles>

Take care.
