Yes, but if you use java from ibm, the problem doesn't happen.

No, at least in my installation, ubuntu 11.10.
However the f10 key does not work as should. You need to use  the 
shortcuts to access the menus.
alt+f to access the file menu, alt+e to access the edit menu, alt+s to 
access the source menu and etc.
