Re: [orca-list] When read a message in TB, ctrl+home and ctrl+end has the same behavior

Fortunately GMail allows for IMAP connections, so if I ever do this again the message is still usually on the server, so I can go into GMail, search for it, and then move it back out of the Trash. It can be frustrating, but it is definitely better than nothing. I think I can listen to my e-mails at Orca's full speech rate (100%), but if I read them with a screen magnifier such as Zoom in GNOME Shell or Compiz eZoom in Unity2d...well...let's just say that reading e-mails takes a very long time going that route.

Hopefully this bug will be squashed in the future and we can all read our e-mail in peace.

Best wishes, everyone.

Take care.

Control + end does the correct thing for me in firefox 9.

I only see the problem in Thunderbird.

Yes, when deleting messages in Thunderbird Orca frequently reads the wrong message header when you up and down arrow. This problem has never been properly fixed.

This also happens with Firefox recent versions. This has been there
for a while now. With the latest Orca fixes, one can at least read
within a message if opened in a new window quite nicely now. But the
list pane is still a mess! Try deleting some messages and then scroll
up and down that same list and notice the subjects. they will often
miss match with what actually gets opened. I think I deleted a couple
messages this morning that I didn't want to. I thought Mozilla fixed
those list bugs but apparently not. I'm using Firefox and Thunderbird
9.0 or there abouts.

Hi all,

When reading a message in thunderbird, ctrl+home and ctrl+end jumps to
begin of the message.

I didn't test with the preview pane.
Thanks.
