Sorry, Jason. I guess you beat me to that one. I was the one who posted
about Pidgin, the the problem is a very minor one. Pidgin seems to be
quite accessible, and I would highly recommend it. I tried Empathy, but
many of its parts (buddy list, and other areas) do without speech.
