For the record, people, VmWare is a gtk app not a Java app.  So,
whatever issues you are having with Java Swing are not at the root of
what is going on with VmWare accessibility.  Rather, I suspect  it's
closer to what makes Synaptic wig out in Ubuntu 11.10.  I've never
gotten it to work because, apparently, (someone correct me if I'm
wrong), but it uses the old accessibility stack based on Corba and not
DBus.  Again, this could be totally unrelated but, just so you know,
it's got nothing to do with Java.  I cringe a the thought of a
java-based virtualization solution.  Bet it's slow as Friday afternoon
on a Monday morning.  Don't confuse the JRE virtual machines with
those created for use in VmWare and Virtualbox.
