Re: [orca-list] Linkedin, Twitter

I haven't had trouble with Linked In. I do remember having some
slowness issues with twitter before though. I resolved the twitter
issue by using the mobile site:

 http://m.twitter.com

The mobile interface is much quicker and more compact to navigate.
Same thing for Facebook.

I haven't been tweeting in Linux much these days. Most of the stuff
I've been doing is server based of late. HOwever, I was using Smuxi
for Twitter and liked it quite a bit. Gwibber worked all right for me
after a fashion. These days, I'm using my iPhone almost exclusively
for my social networking. It is, bar none, the solution that has
worked out the very best for me. I just love this device!

Are you sure the sites are drastically different or is it just the

What version of Orca and Firefox are you using?

I don't use the Twitter site much but I do use the LinkedIn site with
Orca 3.1.9 and Firefox 13. I don't think I do anything unusual to work
with the site, i.e. nothing but the same techniques I use on most sites.
What in particular are you trying to do?

I noticed that the websites for Linkedin and Twitter are drastically
different when using Windows and Linux. Most of my experience with them
comes from Windows and JAWS. Does anyone have any tips/hints on how to
use them with Linux/orca?
