Hello I will try the alt f2 method.
if some oen could help create a script it would be cool.
I don't know the first thing about scripting.

Might save you some typing. try it out and see if they work. I will too when I get a chance. Bet you can make a script and stick it on your desktop for this ... hmm ... I wonder ... Any bash scripters out there? Is this doable? Should be like a two liner:

#!/bin/bash

sudo shutdown now
exit 0

I don't know bash scripting well so this might be totally wrong.
