Hello again.

I am not too familiar with Arch, however I did do a brief bit of research on my system Linux MInt 11).

I found that running the command:

gnome-screensaver-preferences

will open the Screensaver Preferences window (at least as far as my system is concerned). It may be the same case for your system, but I cannot make any guarantees.

Please let me know if this helps. Also, are you using GNOME 2.x or GNOME 3.x series?

Which Linux distribution are you using (e.g. Ubuntu, Linux MInt, etc)?

In Gnome under Ubuntu 11.04 you would go to System, Preferences,
Screensaver. This will open up the Screensaver Preferences window. In
this window, you will find a checkbox option which reads "Lock screen
when screensaver is active". If you un-check this checkbox this should
solve your problem.
