Re: [orca-list] falling back to the gnome desk top in oniric?

Hi trahern,

If you want to use Gnome 3 instead of Unity on Ubuntu 11.10 you will
have to install it as Gnome no longer ships with Ubuntu by default.
Unfortunately, Ubuntu 11.10 doesn't come with a "fallback" feature as
10.10 and 11.04 did. Not sure but you should be able to do something
like
sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop
to get the desktop and main libraries installed. Then, logout and
select Gnome from the login screen to set Gnome as the default desktop
for your user account. Perhaps someone else has a better setup/install
procedure but I do know you have to install Gnome separately from the
OS, because it isn't installed by default.
