[orca-list] Open Office Database and Orca

Good morning,

A few nights ago I tried my hand at makign a database in Open Office
database 3.2 running atop Vinux 3.0 (Lucid 10.04 variant), gnome 2.30
and Orca 2.31. Anyway, the titles to the data table were not being
read properly and the project was pretty slow going. How well does
Orca support this part of Open Office? Are there patches or scripts
which I can add to my Orca installation that would help? Are there
any settings which I need to turn on for Orca to play nice with OO on
either application? Reason I'm messing with this is that someone told
me Open Office was a nice front end to MySQL. I want to put together
a question bank for the tests I give my students here at work. I then
want to see about setting this thing up to spit out unique tests of 10
questions each where no two tests will have exactly the same questions
in exactly the same order. I'm sure there are LMS solutions better
suited for this sort of thing but accessibility is a problem on the
authoring side of things so, I need to hack my own solutions. Is
there a package that Orca works with that might be better suited to
what I am trying to accomplish if support for OO Database is still a
work in progress?

Thanks for any help.

Alex M
