Re: [orca-list] installing and using wine

Hi Andy,

At this point in time there is no way to use Windows applications with
Orca via wine. In other words, you can not install Microsoft Office
and expect to use it with Orca, because there is no accessibility
framework in place for Orca to use Windows apps under wine. The only
Windows applications that we can use with wine are self-voicing apps
that relie on Sapi or similar self-voicing feedback.

Hi.

Does anyone know how to install and use wine as well as windows
applications? I have wine itself installed, but can't seem to get
anywhere past that since wine doesn't broadcast it's accessibility stuff
to orca.
