[orca-list] Future possible important changes for Orca branches related

Hy,

In Orca-list Joanie sent following letter:
"Hey all.

Because we're now in the 3.2 release cycle, we really need to have the
master branch be compatible with GNOME 3.x. What this means for you:

Up until now the rule was: "Only use Orca's gnome-3-0 branch if you are
using GNOME 3. Everyone else should be using master or their distro's
shipping version." That rule is now null and void. Erase it from your
brains this instant. <smiles>

Here's the new rule: "If you are using GNOME 3.x, you can use Orca's
gnome-3-0 stable branch or you can use master. But if you are not using
GNOME 3.x, you should not be using this branch."

"Oh no!" you think. "Does this mean no more upgrades for me?" Of course
not. <smiles> We have a brand new branch for non-GNOME3 users, which was
created from master: orca-xdesktop. Non-GNOME3 users should use the
orca-xdesktop branch or their distro's shipping version from now on. Any
critical fixes will go into the orca-xdesktop branch for the foreseeable
future. And your humble Orca team will try extremely hard to do the same
for new features.

Any questions, you know where to find me.

Thanks! Take care.
--joanie"

So, if I understand right, if you would like packaging future for Vinux releases for oldest 2.x gnome series compatible gnome-orca development version package, you need using orca-xdesktop branch based source.

Attila
