Re: [orca-list] Firefox performance patch which needs testing

Just out of curiosity, is the intraspection port you're working on any part of the reason why orca isn't reading anything to me in Oneiric? I'm interested to hear feedback from other users about success or lack there of, in order to find out whether I have something funky going on possibly on my side. Thankfully the laptop I have it on is a spare, specificly for testing. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hey all.

While I've been busily working on GNOME's introspection port, Victor
Ramirez has created a patch which should hopefully address the
significant delay you see in Orca when it is attempting to put together
a line of content. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=599361

The patch looks simple enough, but it would be great to have some
testing to be sure there are no unexpected side effects. Right now, I
need to continue focusing on the introspection port or else Orca won't
work at all in GNOME 3.2. So if you guys could give Victor's patch some
heavy testing and let me know the results, we can see about getting this
in Monday's releases.

Thanks in advance guys! And thank you Victor for hunting this down!!
