[orca-list] introduction

hi all:
I'm new to this list and orca. I'm currently trying out vinux as a 
possible replacement to windows, but am definitely a newbie at linux in 
general. If I ask questions that appear to be obvious please be patient 
with me, I'm not experienced with linux beyond sudo apt-get xxx. i'll 
google whenever possible, but help from other people is definitely 
appreciated.
