[orca-list] how to use jack in ubuntu?

Hello,
Is there actually any way of using jack in ubuntu? qjack-ctl is in qt, 
so it's no use for me.
I tried to do something with jacknetsourcegui, that should be in gtk, 
but I can't find any way of actually starting it.
I would like to connect some applications to jack like ardour or virtual 
keyboard.
Can you help me please?
