Dear All,
I'm Samrawit from Ethiopia, east Africa.
I'm going to establish an organisation which will deal with an
information and technology for the blind in my country.
In my organisation, i really want to give emphasis on Computer
training for the blind and i also want to work on developing Amharic
speech synthesiser which is the national language of the country and
widely used as a mode of communication at school and workplaces.
However, i really don't know what do i need to develop this speech
synthesiser from technical, financial, material and others point of
view. So, please any one of you can give this information, the
requirements to develop text to speech, i'd be glad. Please contribute
to change Ethiopians blind's dependency in their reading and writing
needs upon sighted people.
