i am having a problem with some web pages in firefox that may
require filling out forms.
for example when i am on the internet pages for yorkshire
building society, orca seems to read unnecessary information when
filling in the user information.
this means for example when i am asked for a generated sequence
of characters for my password, i have to read the information
above the form fields, go back to the top of the page, tab
through the date of birth comboboxes and have to remember which
sequence of characters i have been asked for because it wants to
read other things instead of stating the numbered character i
have to enter in the password fields.
it used to say something like "enter the first, fith and seventh
characters of your password, and indicate the number of the
character wanted when in each field and when the first expected
character was entered it would move on to the next field but now
it tries to read information about security which is all the stu!
under the submit button which is very confusing.
the version of firefox i am using is the one that comes with
lucid by default so i don't know if there is a version since
which has overcome this type of problem.
it probably does this on other pages where forms are filled in.
you are basically asked to submit a form only to find it wants to
read other information outside the form which is off putting
especially on banking and building society sites where a random
selection is generated for a given user password.
perhaps someone has used other internet pages that replicate the
same problem and can give me some advice on it.
i know that this didn't happen in karmic so i am wondering if it
has anything to do with people's problems with versions of
firefox that has been mentioned on this list.
