Re: [orca-list] Can someone look into this possible bug for me?

Interesting!

Yeah, I hear supposedly that 3.6 has a lot of tendency to be very notorious for crashing once in a while.

HiChris.
I tried and no crashes
There is however one difference, I am running firefox 3.5.9.

Open up firefox.

Now, be aware: this will? crash your system so badly that logging out
won't fix the issue.

Now, try to navigate to the following bank's web site. Obviously, I'm
not giving out my login, but this thing will crash before that point.

http://www.ncsecu.org

ok, line by line, start down arrowing through the page, and tell me if
ff doesn't hang, so badly for you that you can't alt f4 out of it, you
can't kill it etc.

Only thing I've been able to do was alt+control+back space, to log out,
and back in.

Upon doing this, it tells me that ff is already running and I must close
it, before I can open another window.

so if I go to terminal, and do:

sudo killall firefox

It definitely kills it, but then if you try to then launch it, you'll
get the same message again.

Then if you look, it'll tell you two users are logged in on different t
t y consoles. Well, if you type

who

You'll find, both those users are yourself.

So what the heck! What gives! Furthermore, I can't imagine! what is
making Firefox crash like this!

If you all can try this please and let me know if it crashes for you, I
need to report this to the credit union's I T department if it wind up
being just a coding issue in the web site, but if it wind up being an ff
thing, that's even worse.

This is firefox 3.6.3 I'm using.

Chris.
