Hi,
My computer took a dive, and I got a new system, and I am using Ubuntu as a
dual-boot system with windows.
Although I would prefer to have windows be the first choice in the list, it
is the last, and I need to edit grub to give me more time to select the OS
of choice, which is usually windows.
This is Ubuntu 10.04, so it is using grub 2, which I am pretty sure cannot
be edited with the menu.list file as with earlier versions of grub.
Can someone send some instructions on how to edit grub?
I know this is off-topic, but although I have been subscribed to the Ubuntu
list for years, I only receive messages from the list, and have never been
able to send a message, and the list owner has never gotten it fixed for me.
P.S., if there is a way to do other things in grub 2 like inserting the
control + G in front of lines for the beeps, or changing the order of the OS
list, I would appreciate that too.
Thanks.
Glenn
