Re: [orca-list] Firefox and Protected Sites

Hi Steve,
The last thing that I can see in the page is the phrase "I Understand the Risks". However if I click in the word understand using the CapsLock+7 key, more text is shown including an Accept Button.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but let me explain and see if any of

you out there can reproduce this problem.  I have a link here and when I click on it froma gnome mail client like thunderbird, it launches Firefox but gives me the page shown below.  This warning page gives a button to "Get me out of here!" but I don't see any button to let me on through to the page.  I think the problem in part is that the page doesn't have a verifable SSL certificate.

Well, when I paste in the below page, it does not look quite like it does in firefox.  In fact, it appears that Orca is not showing all the information and the controls don't appear below so one will have to actually go to the above link to see what I'm talking about.  If this can be reproed by anyone else, I would gladly file a bug though it will probably have less to show on that bug report's edit box.

You have asked Shiretoko to connect
securely to users.archlinux.de, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely,
sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to
this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
