[orca-list] enabling grade II braille?

Hi All
I'm trying to get grade II braille to display in Orca. Everything is
working fine on the BRLTTY side, and Orca is displaying grade I braille
at the moment. However, when I check the box to enable contracted
braille, I do not get the list of contraction tables the Wiki says I
should get. Further, after applying this option anyway, I get no braille
output from Orca and Orca's behavior becomes erratic. Hotkeys no longer
work properly, and alt-tab does not announce Window names anymore. I
know it seems strange, but it's definitely related to this option. If I
check contracted braille, the behaviors start. As soon as I uncheck it
and apply, the problems go away completely.
I'm using the latest Orca git master. Some other software versions that
might help: BRLTTY 4.0, liblouis 1.7.0. I do have grade II working in
BRLTTY itself on the text console, and I've verified that Orca is
building with liblouis support. I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 on this particular
box, and this did not work with the official Orca release included in
Ubuntu either, the exact same behaviors cropped up.

Can anyone throw me a hint here?
