Re: [orca-list] notifications

Hmm: file received using bluetooth, new device trying to pair with me, etc.

You know, this is a great idea, however, what all notifications aside your

Hi all.
The idea of an notification review, sounds cool.
I think that orca could store a predefined number of notifications and
speak them when user press a key combination. How about orca+n?
Orca+n speaks the last notification, orca+n two times speaks the
penultimate, and so one.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Yes, but it's better to have notification-daemon fixed than to have orca
ignore notifications completely.
Is it possible to write an orca script for notification review?
I mean, without modifying notification-daemon script.

Maybe it is... For now check ~/.cache/notify-osd.log, wich contains your
notifications. At least in Ubuntu the file is there.

I fixed this bug, made a patch etc, now the notification-daemon is
recognized by orca.
And, orca speaks notifications.
The problem is: what to do if i'll not hear a notification because i'm
doing something? I can't review last notifications, right?

Hey.
Shouldn't orca interrupt reading things it was reading before when it
receives a notification? if i do something while receiving a
notification, i can
skip it by accident.
