please be advised that the file name for kies has been changed   - so
do this instead:

HOW TO Install kies

Grab kies written by Willem as follows:


cd to_dir_to_download_kies_to (I use ~/tmp)

wget ftp://ftp.csir.co.za/mi/national_accessibility_portal/wvdwalt/kies-latest.tar.bz2
tar -xvf kies-latest.tar.bz2
cd kies
sudo ./install.sh
