[orca-list] linux and virtual machines

Has anyone ever run windows as a virtual machine in linux?
If so, is one distribution of linux better for using as the host than another?
What is the most accessible virtual machine software to use with orca?
Or, would I be better off just getting an intel Mac and Fusion?
I understand that is very accessible.  But I am wanting to save some money.
