Yeah, I discovered that this Spring and opened a bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=537303

Because it's a relatively minor issue and because I'm the only one who
seemed impacted by it, I didn't do anything beyond file the bug. Now
that a user is unhappy about it, I'll take another look.
