Hello!
You could have an image recorder or something on your computer, and then use audible managers burn to cd feature to make cd:s on your harddrive with the books.
would that work?

As far as I know, audible books contain AAC compressed audio, (see faac
for an AAC encoder and decoder.)

However, not only that audible files use a proprietary container format,
they're also infected by DRM (digital restricti^Wrights management.) In
short, this means "probably no chance at all".
