Hello,
step 1. download knoppix adriane from:
burn it to a cd.
step 2. when the cd starts up it'll start talking.
arrow down to setup and hit enter.
step 3. arrow down to install to hd-hard drive an
hit enter.
step 4. hit c for continue and hit
enter.
step 5. you may have to hit right arrrow to get to
continue. it takes some playing to navigate the buttons with the suse-blinux-sbl
screen reader.
step 6. the easiest thing for a beginner is to let
it automatically partition the hard drive so let it do that and move
on.
step 7. once it's installed, reboot computer,
remove cd, and you should have a fully working talking knoppix system based on
the latest debian with a text mode, a gui if you want it, with latest orca open
office, firefox, and more. once installed you can go to the terminal and update
packages add voxin whatever you want.
Josh Kennedy jkenn337 gmail comTired of Microsoft
Windows and paying thousands for screen-readers? try out NVDA for Windows, or
try out and switch to grml, Ubuntu, Vinux, or knoppix-adriane Linux desktops.
also try the $99 netbook from cherrypal.com it should run one of the Linux
distributions mentioned.

Hi,
You can get lxde with the latest
knoppix-adriane. you install knoppix-adriane to hard drive using text mode
installer. the version of orca is the latest 2.2.28. lxde has all the latest
software. to use the pc-man file manager switch to list view instead of icon
view.
