one additional question: 
How did you set the "automatic reading of webpages"?
Further investigation showed that when I turn this off in Jaws and
activate Webvisum, I always land on visited links; turning automatic
reading on, makes Jaws fail.
Since this option cannot be turned off in NVDA, it fails when Webvisum
is active. The NVDA team however insists that this must be the fault of
Webvisum.
Note: Because I don't use Gnome/Orca at this moment, I cannot test
Orca's behavior myself.
