Re: [orca-list] OT: sound problems in Opensuse

Hello,
I had a thought on my no sound problem on opensuse 11. Since i'm using
vmware the emulated sound card is a creative labs es1371 one of there
ensoniq models. I was wondering if anyone had this card and if it worked. If
i can't get the talking boot menu to go does anyone know if it's possible to
remaster the live cd so it's possible to boot it up and get speech?
Thanks.
Dave.

Hello Dave,
When you boot the CD there is a small beep sound which comes from the pc
speaker in my case.
I can then press F9 and I get the talking boot menu.
Maybe wait for about 10 seconds or so.

after starting the vm until i can hit f9? I haven't tried it yet on a
full pc as i don't have one.
Thanks.

HI all,
Has anyone had sound problems when trying to boot the Opensuse Live CD?
I've had to boot it several times after it worked here.
