I wasn't aware of a live CD for Debian. I downloaded a net install
disk image for Lenny Testing and installed with Speakup. The
installation is console based and I hooked up my external Speakout
which is a serial synthesizer. I then booted with the DVD in place
and after the disk stops spinning, I hit tab followed by downarrow and
then typed in 'speakup.synth=spkout' Obviously, this would vary if
using a different synth. If you don't have access to a hardware
synth, I don't know how one could install debian without sighted
help. I could be wrong but dunno if there is a way to launch a GUI
type install like Ubuntu does.
It's things like this why I love being able to use an external
hardware synth with Speakup.

Hi folks,
I have downloaded a Debian CD - I think it is the Live CD for the latest Debian. How do I go about
installing this distro with Orca? Is this possible?
Best wishes
