[orca-list] sound problems in hardy: trying to use gizmo with orca

Hello,  I have nstalled the latest stable release of hardy on my
desktop. I am able to play music along with orca both while using
gnome-speech and speech-dispatcher. However, If I try using gizmo orca
stops speaking as soon as I am logged into gizmo.
on the other hand, if I am playing music in vlc with orca running,
gizmo is unable to log in. error: no audio devices are free. in short
I can play only two sounds at a time. I had configured my sound card
well in edgy and was using all he programs on the same sound card.
could anyone throw some light?
by the way, I have followed the tips in the FAQ of the orca live. I
have installed alsa-oss and there were no errors there. for some
strange reason it does not seem to work properly.
