Hi all. I'd just like to thank those on the Orca list for their suggestions for getting wireless working on my dell inspiron laptop. It's now working very well and all I had to do was to run the sudo network-admin tool click properties next to the wireless adapter and turn off auto roam. then put in my essid password type and I was connected. Ubuntu rocks and I again thank the list for the info and support so far.
