Will, which orca produces the path:
/usr/local/bin/orca
When I performed the build, I did not use the ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr
even under fc8 I did not use this path prefix statement and did not have problems.
I will take a look at the other info that you provided and get back with you.
Any other tips you might have are appreciated. I have never seen quite this hard of a process!
