I had a similar issue when trying to build atk on ubuntu. Gave me a
different package name, but still complained about a dependency issue. Did
you build at-spi first? I think the order is significant. There was a
previous message on this a while ago, but I think the order is at-spi, atk,
then gail, then orca. On ubuntu, you do a apt-get build-dep <packagename>
first before actually doing an install for that package.

Just my two cents. Hope it helps.

Hi all,

I am trying to bring enterprise linux into the 21st century in terms of
accessibility.

I have pulled down the src rpms for fedora 8 and am working my way
backward through the dependency tree for orca.

I am trying to get atk-1.21.92 to build from the src rpm, but I keep
getting a dependency failure.

It says that perl(XML::Parser) is required.

The first tiem I got the error, I ran cpan and installed XML::Parser,
however I keep getting the dependency error.

I reran cpan to double check and it says XML::Parser is up-to-date.

Any suggestions?
