Hi, Michael,

It sounds like you've installed version 2.0 of Thunderbird. Sadly, that
version is not accessible. To find out, try typing at the command prompt:

thunderbird --version

You need to be using Thunderbird 3.0. For information on how to install it,
go to:

http://live.gnome.org/Orca/Thunderbird

You should know that there are lots of bugs with both Thunderbird 3.0 and
Orca when accessing Thunderbird. The Orca development team are trying to fix
the bugs before the next gnome release. However, to try these bug fixes
out, you need to be using the svn trunk version of Orca. I think there is
information about this on the web page above.

Good luck,

dave

Hi Alonzo:

Actually the jibberish in the msg is what concerns me and being able to
read the msg body. I'm logged into windows now and am using outlook
(Excuse) LOL express to check the mailing list. As for the install, I ran:
apt-get dist--upgrade
After an over night of the machine downloading the packages, I then ran:
apt-get install mozilla-thunderbird
As I said though, I'b not sure how to read the emails or send in english.
LOL
