We do that if the link is indeed spread out over multiple lines --
whether that is the result of the text wrapping or due to a forced line
break.

So.... Is the bug you're reporting that we shouldn't be doing that? Or
is the bug that the link really is spatially/visually on one line but
we're not recognizing that?
