Hi Garrett. Thanks for your report.
1. Go to Wikipedia.
2. Access any article.
3. Try to activate a link to any section in the article from the table
of contents.
Expected result: Orca should place the cursor at the heading of the
linked-to section.
Actual result: nothing happens.
Confirmed. I've opened up bug 544771 for this issue and attached a
preliminary patch. (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=544771)
I've not yet run the regression tests, so I haven't marked the patch for
testing. What the patch does is move you to the anchor specified by the
link which, in the case of wikipedia happens to be in an empty paragraph
just before the link to edit that section. I don't think we have any way
of knowing that functionally the anchor is associated with the heading;
we just know where the link says we should go. But at least the anchor
is a lot closer than not moving at all. <smile>
Pending regression testing and other testing, we should have a fix
checked in soon.
