Hi list, I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 on an old HP NX8220 laptop dedicated to
Ubuntu. To make GUI usage efficient and memorable, I'm a big fan of the
underlined letters or the so called mnemonics that you commonly find in
dialogbox and menu commands. My question is, is there a way of reading
these keys in Orca, without having to use caps+enter on an item to find
out the key? Being constantly reminded of the mnemonics after an item
text role and state, would make them easier to recall.
Secondly, I wish I could select whether the shortcut keys, that are used
to launch menu commands directly, are announced, independently of
whether my setting is verbose or brief. I like the brief prompts better,
but would still prefer to have the menu item shortcut keys announced.
Any help appreciated.
This is my first post from evolution, so i hope it
receives the list OK. I'm reading in daily digest mode.
