Hi All,

While I can pretty much navigate my way through a lot of the linux software
without any great difficulties I am only really getting into the whole thing
of adjusting Orca preferences and all that. Today as I have tried to adjust
the speed of Orca and Pitch I find I can't. This is while I am in
administrator mode. I go into the Orca preferences and tab over to the
"rate" slider. I push it up to as far as it goes for me, that is 99 and then
save it but still the speech does not change and Its the same with the
pitch. Also I can't seem to get Orca to load up for me in my user settings.
When I try to do this using the run option and typing in things like "Orca
-t, Orca --setup or just Orca" I just get some quick message that I don't
understand.
I am using the festival voice that I currently have with Fedora 9.

Any easy to follow help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Paul.
