Re: [orca-list] Dropline Installation Help!

Hi,

Fedora 8 comes with Gnome-2.20. we maintain an updated and speakup modified version of F8 at http://speakupmodified.org/ If you want to go that route, call or write. Calling will usually get a quicker response.

          HTH.

I just got the latest dropline-install to install gnome and downloaded
the 231 packages and all but ran into a missing library after
installing over 80% of the system. It was installing pango-something
when it came up with a missing library - libxft.so... Then the install
failed to complete. When I look at MANAFEST.BZ2 from my slackware
12.0 disk, I find no libxft listed. It apparently existed for prior
versions of slackware but not 12. I'm doing the
dropline-installer-20.0 package.

If I can't figure this out, I may have to wipe the system and install
Debian or something. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
