Hello,
I instlled
enterprise linux 5 over the weekend, and added the viavoice synthesizer and
brltty 3.10 to it.
Now I want ot fixup
orca to work with both.
I was able to
recompile gnome-speech just fine and it finds the viavoice driver no
problem.
I know from past
experience that I need to recompile orca to have it pickup the brlapi bindings
for brltty.
When I try to either
configure or compile it it says it needs pyatspi.
I checked out at-spi
from the gnome svn repository and ran
python setup.py
install
from the pyatspi
folder it looked like all went fine.
Now when I recompile
orca, it compiles fine.
When I try to run
orca to configure it for my user, I get the following
errors:
Traceback (most
recent call last):
File "<string>", line 1, in ?
File
"/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/orca/orca.py", line 54, in

import pyatspi
File

?
reg = bonobo.activation.activate_from_id(REGISTRY_IID,
0, 0)
Bonobo.GeneralError
Any suggestions
would be appreciated. I am trying to get this working for an accessibility
project at work.
