well,
maybe I'll download and try the live cd again. Ubuntu7 the one that came out 
in October 2007 I could not get to run on my computer. so I hope the ubuntu 
team can come up with a fix for this if they haven't already, in the ubuntu 
set to come out in April.

Hi Josh, in Vibuntu, Orca is set to the default speech settings, except that
the English West Lancashire voice is used (Where I am from originally) and I
have set the verbosity settings to full - in other word it reads out
everything it can. These settings can easily be changed once you have
installed it. The main advantage of using Vibuntu is that you can use the
admin apps with Orca without making any modifications or using the terminal
etc.

Hi,

Does vibuntu have orca set to factory defaults? is it a fresh install of
ubuntu that has been modified or one the author has made his own personal
settings for orca such as having the speech too slow or too fast? just
curious.
I may download and try it soon. seems like ubuntu and gnome are being
updated a whole lot more often than microsoft's OS is and apple's OS.
